Toyota FJ-80 & Lexus LX-450 Sub Woofer Mount with MONO Amp Plate
Whole Hog is happy to offer a precision laser-cut sub woofer mount for those who are after more audio performance but do not want to sacrifice ANY of their precious cargo space. This sub woofer mount will accept a shallow-mount 8" sub woofer (see notes below for dimension limits on sub woofer mounting depth). The mount allows you to retain the factory body panel and factory sub woofer grill - especially important in fooling would-be thieves that have targeted your vehicle. The mount attaches using the factory hardware and the speaker is centered in the factory sub woofer location.
This mount allows bolting of an accessory amplifier below the 8" sub woofer. There are two different footprint areas on the mounting plate, one allowing for a 11 1/2" x 12" vertical mount or a 13 1/2" x 8" horizontal mount. For both mounting footprints, there is a 3" amplifier depth available. It is designed to allow airflow through the factory body panel vent located below the factory sub woofer grill with or without an amplifier installed. The factory amplifier is not intended to be used with this mounting system, although you might want to take advantage of the factory signal cables for the amplifier turn on signal depending on your install. The passenger storage cubby compartment does not require any modification for the MONO mount to be installed. During installation, the user must make the required electrical connections and adjustments prior to reinstalling the factory body panel. The accessory amplifier is not accessible for adjustment once the factory trim panel is re-installed.

This sub woofer and amplifier mount is designed to fit Toyota FJ-80 and Lexus LX-450 vehicles spanning a production range of 1/90 through 1/98.

This sub woofer mount is not designed with a dedicated sealed/ported box volume enclosure in mind. The mount is simply intended as a way to secure an aftermarket component sub woofer in the factory location without any fabrication or cutting required. The free-air volume behind the panel is sufficient for most customers audio needs that are looking for an 8" sub woofer solution. We have sold over 200 of these mounts around the world to LandCruiser owners with enormously positive feedback on the fit and function of our mounting solution.

Sound cancellation has not been identified to be a problem with this mounting solution by our team during testing or by our customers. For additional customer feedback, please follow the IH8MUD forum thread on our mount solution.

The mount is cut to accept a wide variety of 6 or 8-bolt mounting pattern speakers.

The inner cutout diameter of this mount is 7-1/4" which accommodates most available 8" sub woofers.

This mount has two footprint areas; 11" x 12-1/2" vertical mount area or 13-1/2" x 11" horizontal mount area to mount a mono or similar sized audio amplifier. Drilling for your specified amplifier mounting bolt pattern is required.

This bracket is designed for a top mounted shallow-mount sub woofer. There is a maximum of 3-1/2" available for the depth of your selected sub woofer measured from the outside face of the bracket to the inside of the rear quarter panel sheetmetal.

The factory passenger rear storage cubby remains available for use with the 2-channel sub woofer mount.

The sub woofer mount is shipped unfinished, but being aluminum, we have eliminated rust concerns.

Whole Hog Replacement Hardware Kit
We have a replacement hardware kit available when required. This kit includes stainless hardware with locking nuts to secure the Whole Hog FJ80 Sub Woofer bracket or the OEM system as required. If you are purchasing the Whole Hog FJ80 sub woofer mounting bracket, please note that this hardware kit is included.
